Antonio Forcione Quartet
The Antonio Forcione Quartet is a musical powerhouse led by Antonio Forcione, a virtuoso guitarist known for his unconventional style and dynamic performances on steel, nylon, and fretless guitars. Joining him are Matheus Nova on bass, whose lines are enriched by his Brazilian heritage, and Jansen Santana, a multi-instrumentalist and exceptional percussionist. Together, they deliver powerful, dynamic, and witty performances that transcend traditional genre boundaries.
Antonio Forcione – Guitars has released 21 albums of primarily original material and has performed at festivals and theaters worldwide. He has shared the stage with notable musicians such as Charlie Haden, Angelique Kidjo, and Trilok Gurtu.
Jenny Adejayan - Cello
Jenny Adejayan, born in East London to Nigerian and Grenadian parents, began playing the cello at age seven. Her career started with The Reggae Philharmonic Orchestra, leading to extensive work as a session musician. She studied music at Manchester University and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she became involved with the experimental big band iO.
Jenny met Antonio Forcione in 1996 and began collaborating with him in 2001. She has recorded three albums and a live DVD with the quartet and has toured internationally, performing in Australia, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, and other countries. Jenny has also recorded with Courtney Pine and worked with various artists, including Senegalese griot Doudou Cissoko and Zimbabwean singer Netsayi.
Matheus Nova
Matheus Nova is renowned in Latin and London music circles for his remarkable bass lines. He has performed with numerous groups, including Brazilian Samba legends Elza Soares and Alcione.
Jansen Santana
Jansen Santana is a versatile multi-instrumentalist known for his passion for music and involvement in various projects, including international percussion festivals and cultural initiatives.
